How to Set Up Your Online Brand for Quick and Effective Customer Acquisition

In setting up your online presence, we’d look into 3 main things:

+ Setting up your website to attract customers through search,

+ Setting up your social media channels to attract customers on the social media…

And finally,

+ The images and designs that’d go with them…

The Website

Let’s talk about the website…

For your website, you need to get the following basic things in place:

+ Your domain name

+ Your hosting service

+ Your content management system (CMS)

And lastly,

+ Your website plugins.

Your domain name is the name your website bears on the World Wide Web; it goes like “yourawesomewebsite.com”, “yournewwebsite.net”, and what the heck.

It’s sometimes sold, but, at most of the times, it’s freely provided by the website hosting service providers.

To search if a domain name is available for you to choose, simply go to, “http://whois.org”, input the word you want to use as your domain name into the search tab…

If it’s available, then you go on to register that with your website hosting service provider…

…but if otherwise, you then choose another.

The website hosting service is like the land on the World Wide Web to build your website on.

Look at it like a parcel of land you bought to erect your building (website) on.

A good hosting service provider should boast of:

  1. Backup service
  2. Reliable hardware
  3. 9% server up-time
  4. Unmetered bandwidth
  5. High level security
  6. Experienced staff
  7. Free domains
  8. Unlimited emails
  9. Scalability to fit your needs
  10. Awesome clients/customers feedbacks
  11. And so forth…

Having seen one with the above features, the next thing is to quickly grab that and set up your website on it.

After setting up your website, the next thing to do is to choose a platform to run your website contents on – that’s, the contents management system (CMS)…

A good one to use is the WordPress contents management system.

You have to download and install that on your website.

After that, the next good thing to do is to install plugins that extend the features of your website, on to it…

Look at these plugins like those applications that you install on to your mobile devices to extend their features.

Your Social Networks

Let’s now talk about your social media channels…

To set up a channel on the social media that effectively connects with and serves your customers, you need to undergo certain tasks…

+ Choosing the right name that perfectly represents your business, as well as resonates with your audience…

+ Choosing the best and befitting description for your channel…

+ Using the best images (icons, header images, etc.) that best match your network…

+ And so forth

Your Social Images

The images you’d need for both your website and your social media channel(s) would include…

+ The business icon

+ The business logo

+ The social header graphics and images

+ And others that may need as the case may be.

There’s both the psychology as well as the technical looks into the building of those images…

To get the best images that effectively represent and portray the image of your brand and business, you have to look into what relates to the kind and nature of the business you’re into…

Then designing them, you can use software programs like Microsoft Word Paint, Corel Draw, etc., which are free and basic…

…or, you could use advanced packages like “http://Canva.com”, etc…

Canva.com has packages with free templates to build on…and if you’re on a little more budget, you can use some paid templates on Canva.

What next?

Having set with what to put in place branding your business online, and knowing who the appropriate customers to attract to it are…

It’s now time to make the noises about your online business…

To let those who need your business, product, or service get aware of what you’re doing…

So as to get them in the line of your business funnel…
